Three Spartans selected to All-MW baseball squad

Sophomore Jonathan Clark, sophomore Ruben Ibarra and senior Troy Viola of the San Jose State baseball team have been selected for All-Mountain West Conference honors for their performance in the 2020 season.

In 12 total innings pitched, Clark put up a 2.25 ERA with a total of three runs and four hits allowed. He also had an eight-strikeout performance versus Santa Clara in the season-opener for the Spartans. 

Ibarra finished the shortened 17-game season with a batting average of .344 with 21 hits and eight RBI as well as three home runs. He also did not commit a single error on the season when playing first base. 

Viola put up an average of .271 on the season with 19 hits, five of which were doubles. He also drove in nine RBI and had hit streaks of seven games and six games respectively.
