Softball trio make all-conference team

Senior Cassidy Clark, senior Suzy Brookshire and freshman Shannon Haddad of the San José State softball team have been selected for All-Mountain West honors for their performance during the abbreviated 2020 season.

The Spartans finished the season with a 21-5 record, which included a program record 17-game win streak.

Clark started every game of the shortened season at second base and finished with a .369 batting average with a team-high 31 hits including nine doubles.

Brookshire was a utility player this season for the Spartans and batted cleanup. She drove in a team-high 22 runs, and hit a team-high eight home runs as well as five doubles and two triples. 

Haddad pitched in 18 games for the Spartans this season and led the team with a 1.00 ERA and a record of 11-3. She also had two double-digit strikeout games.
