Roadrunners silence Barracuda in Game 3

By Ryan Carlson @RyanCarlson88

In a building where the San Jose Barracuda found success during the regular season, they found themselves shutout at the hands of the Tucson Roadrunners in game three of the five game series.

The Roadrunners got things started early as left wing Michael Bunting scored two and a half minutes in, which turned out to be the winning goal.

From there on out the Roadrunners were able to add five more for a final score of 6-0.

Tucson goalie Adin Hill got the first star of the game by getting the first playoff shutout in the franchise history.

All 4,799 of the Roadrunner attendance wore white to support the “whiteout” and it gave the team the momentum they needed to bounce back after a loss in game two.

Both teams had the same amount of penalties with seven, and the shots were 23 for Tucson to 21 for San Jose.

After a disappointing team effort, the Barracuda will look to extend their season and force a game five. The winner will go on to face the Texas Stars, who won their series against the Ontario Reign three games to one.

Tucson now leads the first round two games to one and will look to close out the series on Friday the game will be at 7p.m.
