The San Jose State Women’s soccer team (5-7-1, 2-2-0 MW) invades Boise, Idaho on Friday evening to battle the Boise State Broncos (7-4-1, 1-2-1 MW). The Spartans are coming off a heartbreaking defeat after losing to Colorado State 1-2. SJSU has been having a rollercoaster season so far but they look to get a big road win Friday against a quality conference opponent.

The team has a lot of talent with the majority of the young players playing big roles to help the squad win games, however, they’ve struggled to keep teams from scoring at least 2 goals per game.

Over the last six games SJSU has allowed 12 goals while posting a record of 2-4 over that stretch. The offense for the Spartans has shown to be a strength but the defense has to improve if they want to have a shot at winning the conference championship.

After starting the season 6-0, the Broncos have been really struggling as of late. They haven’t scored any goals in their last Three games and over their last six games they have a record of 2-3-1.

Even though being scoreless the last 3 games, the Broncos are outscoring their opponents this season 17 goals to eight. They look to outscore the Spartans on Friday to pick up their first win since Sept. 24 at UNLV.

The Spartans take on the Broncos tonight at 4 p.m. MT and it will be streamed on the Mountain West Digital Network.
