The San Jose State women’s volleyball team (8-4, 2-0) will play the Boise State Broncos (12-2, 1-1) this Thursday.
The Spartans are coming back after sweeping San Diego State in a 3-0 match last Saturday.
Senior outside hitter Haylee Nelson continued bringing the power in the Spartan Gym with her game high 18 kills.
Graduate student outside hitter Latahevai Lousi also brought the thunder with 11 kills against the Aztecs, adding onto her record of 943 kills on her road to 1,000 kills.
San Jose State may be feeling a bit confident coming into their next match but Boise State looks to change that.
Statistically speaking the Broncos are killing the game in the Mountain West Conference.
Not only have they played two more games than the Spartans but they have only lost one game since their invitational.
San Jose State has 546 kills compared to Boise’s 653, 1,440 attempts compared to Boise’s 1,673 and 13.7 kills per set compared to Boise’s 13.1.
Boise State just might be a perfect match against San Jose State with keeping them on their toes and making them sweat a bit.
The Spartans against the Broncos is going to be a game no one is going to want to miss.
If San Jose State can continue their momentum, high energy, and team orientation they can look forward to bringing another win back to Silicon Valley.
