After a rough loss against San Diego State, San Jose State men’s hoops (4-24, 1-11 MW) will take on Wyoming in search of its second Mountain West victory on Wednesday.

The Spartans’ last matchup with the Cowboys (6-23, 2-11 MW) ended in a 59-46 loss.

SJSU will look to take care of the ball and shoot at a more efficient percentage. It committed 16 turnovers and shot 23.8 percent from deep when it last faced the Cowboys.

One name to watch in this upcoming game is freshman guard Zach Chappell. He dropped 14 points against SDSU while dishing out 5 assists.

Junior forward Michael Steadman is another key contributor to keep an eye on in Wednesday’s matchup.

He has been reliable for SJSU all year long and Saturday’s matchup with the Aztecs was no exception. Steadman recorded his 10th double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 boards.

The Cowboys also have some key players to keep track of in Wednesday’s contest.

Senior guard Justin James will aim to have another big game against the Spartans. In the last meeting, James had 20 points and 5 assists on an extremely efficient 58.3 percent shooting.

Another name to watch for is guard Jake Hendricks. The junior dropped home 18 points in the Cowboys’ last game.

Behind these two high-caliber guards, Wyoming has the ability to run up points fast.

Both teams will battle it out for another valuable Mountain West victory Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Event Center.
