Brooms out at SAP Center as Sharks go for sweep

By Ryan Carlson (@RyanCarlson88 ):

Coming off a record-setting win in Game 3, the San Jose Sharks look to sweep in the postseason for the first time since the first round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This year however, the Sharks are matched up against their SoCal rival Anaheim Ducks for only the second time in playoff history.

The Sharks have also outscored the Ducks 14-3 in the series.

As the Sharks go for their second playoff sweep of team history against the Anaheim Ducks, the lines are expected to look the same as game three.

Jones will start and look to have a similar game in net.

Game 3 was electric in San Jose and the Sharks were energized by the atmosphere and were able to dominate the Ducks in an 8-1 victory.

The Ducks outshot the Sharks but because of Martin Jones having one of the best games of his career.  Jones made 19 saves in the second period alone.

Sharks have had no Joe Thornton in round one but that has not affected the team play at all.  Thornton has a unique way of slowing down the game and would be a great addition on the top line with Kane and Pavelski.

The Ducks have shot themselves in the foot by being in the penalty box 21 times in the first three games. San Jose tied a record of four power-play goals in a playoff game in Game 3.

If the Sharks win tonight, they will play a cinderella Vegas Golden Knights team who just swept the LA Kings last night.

Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
