Women’s Golf Place Sixth at Leadership & Golf Invitational

The San Jose State women’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Leadership & Golf Invitational on Tuesday at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Palace, Wash. 

Senior Moa Andersson placed ninth overall, finishing 1-under with 5 birdies at the end of the invitational. It was her first top-ten finish of the season. 

Sophomore Regina Roldan tied for 13th, hitting 2-over with 4 birdies. 

The Spartans competed against 16 other schools and finished the tournament with 6-over, moving up one spot from the previous day. 

Eastern Michigan University took first in the tournament, finishing with 1-under. Senior Savannah de Bock led the Eagles, placing first overall with 7-under and hitting 7 birdies total. 

Other notable performances include sophomore Lotte Schuhr, finishing in a tie for 33rd place with 8-over, and sophomore Kleopatra Kozakiewicz, finishing 9-over tied in 40th.

The Spartans will be competing on Friday, October 16 at the Stanford Intercollegiate in Stanford, Calif.
