San Jose State men’s basketball is looking to close out a three-game road week on Sunday against the Cal Poly Mustangs.
The game will be held at the Robert A. Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif. where the Spartans haven’t won at since 2005.
Cal Poly has won the last two games against the Spartans in 2011.
With a season-opening win over Bethesda College and two losses to the University of San Francisco and Santa Clara, the Mustangs have started the season with a 1-2 record.
Along with the rest of the team the Spartans are looking for two of their players in particular to continue to play well .
Senior guards Richard Washington and sophomore Omari Moore were the last game’s top scores .
This season, Washington is averaging 27.5 points, and two assists per game.
Washington scored his career-high of 38 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists against Fresno Pacific on Wednesday.
Even though they didn’t win against Saint Mary’s sophomore guard Omari Moore scored his career-best 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Tip-off is at 1 p.m.
