San Jose State head volleyball coach Trent Kersten has been named to the United States Girls Youth National Training Team coaching staff, USA Volleyball announced yesterday.
Kersten, who was announced as SJSU’s head coach in February after five seasons at TCU, ended the shortened 2020 beach volleyball season with a 9-2 record.
The Girls Youth National Training Team is the top level of Team USA under-18 volleyball. The team will compete in the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) U18 Continental Championships as qualifying matches for the FIVB U18 World Championships.
Team USA is the reigning champion, and they look to defend their title with the help of one of the newest Spartans.
