San Jose State gymnastics traveled to Anchorage to compete in their second meet of the season.

SJSU took down the University of Alaska Anchorage by a score of 194.375 – 192.525.

Senior Taylor Chan helped the Spartans with her first place all-around score of 38.875.

Sophomore Tia Gin fell close behind as she finished the day with the fourth-best all-around score of 37.975.

Freshman Cameron Kelperis had another great weekend on vault scoring 9.725 and posting the fourth-best score of 9.725 on floor.

Besides the all-around competitors, freshman Emma Milne had a standout performance on Saturday.

Milne led the Spartans in both bars and beams with scores of 9.875 and 9.850 respectively.

The Spartans are getting a lot of contributions from their freshman competitors, which is a good sign this early in the season.

SJSU will host Seattle Pacific and Boise State for a meet on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.
