After a successful win on Saturday at the Event Center, San Jose State women’s basketball (5-22, 4-12 MW) is looking to claim a win against the University of Wyoming (19-6, 12-4 MW) on Monday.

Meeting up for the second time of the season, the Spartans trailed behind 56-70 when they played Cowgirls in their Jan. 23 matchup.

Breaking an eight-straight winning streak, the Cowgirls fell to Fresno State with only a two-point deficit on Feb. 27.

Within the past few weeks, the Spartans have won three of their last four games with help from numerous different players.

Junior guard Analyss Benally had a career-high 31 points, along with seven 3’s that lead SJSU to a win over San Diego State. Sophomore point guard Danae Marquez helped with career-high 15 assists.

In addition for their upcoming game, the Spartans need to stay one step ahead against the Cowgirls. In January’s meeting, senior forwards Marta Gomez and Bailee Cotton lead UW with a combined 31 points, along with a game-high 15 rebounds from Cotton.

With only two games left before the conference tournament, SJSU is looking to keep the winning momentum going.

Tip-off is at 5:30 pm.
