The Spartans then looked forward to Pacific (5-5), but came up short, losing 3-2.

The No. 1 duo comprised of  Gama and Scholl beat Pacific’s No. 1 pair in two straight sets, 21-17 and 21-19.

The only other duo to score a point for SJSU was the No. 5 team, sophomore Thaliana Grajeda and senior Jamie Hirai. They finished their match 29-27 and 21-18.

Sophomores Laura Parts and Kaitlynn Zdroik made up the No. 4 team. They were able to win the first set, 21-17, but lost the second and third, 16-21 and 15-9.
