The Spartans demonstrated solid defense and consistent teamwork, leaving opponents struggling to gain points.
The day began with partners senior Randi Reeves and freshman Rio Thomas first to earn a 2-0 victory, with set scores of 21-12 and 21-12.
The pair’s communication and energy were evident at every point, executing strong defense and consistent blocks that kept their opponents off balance.

Despite a slow start, losing the first set 21-19, partners junior Kaia Fanshier and senior Addison DeMarse were next to win their match as it remained neck and neck in sets.
Finishing their last two sets, 21-19 and 15-13, ultimately resulting in a victory.
The pair showed undeniable chemistry as the two worked together to deliver strong hits and blocking, solidifying their win.
Steady serves from Fanshier and multiple kills from DeMarse helped them gain momentum and take on the match.
High energy could be felt across the sand as the Spartans strung together consecutive sets, building momentum with each point.
It was clear that teamwork was key to this win as the Spartans took their previous loss to build motivation.
SJSU head coach Gary Hodge said that despite the previous loss and an unexpected injury, the team “put some stuff together and played their very best volleyball today against Pacific. That was a strong across-the-board performance.”
Senior Anna Salmon and sophomore Sabrina Moor, faced a tougher match as they were the last pair to end after dropping the first set, 23-21.
However, they rallied through to take the next two sets, 21-18 and 15-8, resulting in a match victory.
“After winning that second set and coming back from the first set loss, I think that was the momentum we needed,” Moor said. “I think leaning on each other in tight moments is the only way you can make it through a game like that.”
Across all matches, the Spartans held strong momentum, demonstrated tight defense, and strategic plays, earning them their win.
The team will carry this momentum until they’re back at Spartan Beach on Friday at 4 p.m. to face Santa Clara University.
