San Jose State’s men’s soccer team drew 0-0 against Saint Mary’s Saturday afternoon.
This was the last spring friendly match before the start of the 2025 season, with coach Jesus Sanchez looking to manage fitness and fine-tune tactics for August.
The Spartans were in control for the majority of the match, being able to keep possession and generating more chances than the Gaels.
Ultimately, they were unable to find the back of the net, despite multiple chances to score.
The team stayed fluid in possession, utilizing many positional rotations to disrupt Saint Mary’s defense.
While the men’s team is done with spring matchups, SJSU Alumni will take part in a 7v7 tournament on Saturday, May 3rd 11 a.m. at the Spartan Soccer Complex.
