The SJSU softball team (4-7, 0-0 MW) beat the Northern Colorado Bears (5-7, 0-0 BS) 7-0 Friday night as part two of a double header at the Spartan Softball Stadium.

Lacie Ham started on the mound and pitched like she was possessed by the softball gods. Ham pitched a complete game shutout with six strikeouts.

The Spartans got off to a hot start with three runs in the first two innings. They rallied up three more runs in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.

SJSU tallied 12 total hits in a complete team win as eight different Spartans were able to get on base against the Gaels.

The Spartans pitching has been shutting down opponents over the past few games. This is now SJSU’s third consecutive game holding its opponents to zero points.

Leading the way on offense for the Spartans is senior infielder Alyssa Graham. She has 12 hits, three home runs, 10 RBIs and batting .387 on the season so far.

Catch SJSU softball’s next game, Saturday Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m. against Saint Mary’s college at Spartan Softball Stadium. For the Spartans, this matchup will be game one of a double header.
