As Air Force heads into town Friday, Spartan gymnastics look to complete the season sweep over their MSPF rival in their final head-to-head matchup of the season.

In this season’s previous matchup, SJSU squeaked out a win over the Falcons with a final score of 195.250-194.150.

Senior Jada Mazury brought home 2 first-place wins for SJSU with scores of 9.900 on the beam and 9.875 on the floor. Teammates Emma Milne and Madison Kirsch collected first-place wins of their own, with Milne scoring 9.875 on the bar and Kirsch receiving a 9.850 to secure a first-place sweep of all events.

Air Force freshman Kylee Greene put up impressive scores of 9.800 on the beam and 9.700 on the vault, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the efforts of the Spartans.

The Falcons look to get back on the right track as they come off a 4th-place season-low (192.4750) finish in a quad-meet that featured the University of Denver, the University of Pittsburg, and George Mason University.

SJSU is currently on a 3-game win streak after scoring a season-high 196.300 against the UC Davis Aggies in its previous meet on Feb. 5.

At this point in the season, juniors Lauren Macpherson and Jaudai Lopes are leading the team in points with Macpherson racking up a season total of 156.375 points, followed by Lopes with a total of 155.750.

Friday’s meeting will take place at the Provident Credit Union Event Center and airs on NBC Sports Bay Area at 7:30 p.m.
