The San Jose State Volleyball team (9-5, 3-1 MW)  begins a three game home stand with the University of Wyoming (8-8, 0-4 MW) on Thursday night.

The Sparatns are coming off a 3-0 loss to Utah State last Saturday. It snapped the five match win streak the team was on.

SJSU is currently undefeated at home posting a 5-0 record. They have outscored  teams 15-1 at Uchida Hall.

Senior libero Sarah Smevog recorded 12 digs in the last match. She also got her 1,000th career dig. Her 4.66 average is good enough for second in the Mountain West Conference. Smevog is continuing to prove that she is a key player in the Spartans line-up.

Sophomore setter Mia Schafer has been a premier teammate all season for the Spartans. She had 31 assists in the last match, averaging 30 plus assists over the last  six matches. Schafer is also first in the MW with a season average of 10.88.

On the defensive side of the net, graduate middle blocker Ryann Thomison has been a force up front. She leads the team with 22 blocks on the year. Junior outside hitter Amethyst Harper is right behind with 17 blocks on the season. Look for these two to hold the front lines for the Spartans Defense.

Meanwhile in Wyoming. The Cowgirls are looking to snap their four game losing streak. They have been outscored by opponents 12-2 in sets during the skid.
The match will take place on Thursday at 6 p.m at Uchida Hall.
