By Kassandra Zeledon  — Reporter

The San Jose State women’s soccer team (4-6-1, 1-1-0 MW) will be playing against fellow MW foe the University of Wyoming (5-4-1, 1-1-1 MW) tonight this Friday, October 1st for the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Think Pink weekend at San Jose State.

SJSU will be play the University of Wyoming and Colorado State University this weekend, which will be part of its Think Pink Campaign to raise awareness for Breast Cancer.

The Spartans have some momentum going into the game against Wyoming coming off of a 2-0 victory against Colorado College.

It’s no doubt the Spartans are keeping the ball rolling with the wins.

Through eight starts, freshman midfielder Taylor Phillips leads SJSU with six points.

She has proven to be a force out on the field.

Sophomore forward Evan House is another player to watch for.

House has started started six matches this season and was a selection for last year’s Mountain West All-Newcomer Team.

Wyoming have been an average team this season. The cowgirls are just barely above .500 on the season and have the clear historical disadvantage in this matchup: Wyoming is 0-3-1 as the road opponent on the season.

SJSU looks to secure its first victory against Wyoming since October 14, 2016.

The Spartans take on Wyoming tonight at 4:30 p.m. in the Spartan Complex Center. The MW matchup can be streamed through sjsuspartans.com
