The San Jose State women’s soccer team (0-1) will be going against San Diego State (2-0) Friday at home.
The Aztecs are on a two game win streak after defeating both Boise State and Nevada.
The Spartans are looking to beat SDSU to avoid back-to-back losses since losing their first game to Fresno State last week.
SJSU will need to tighten up their defense as they allowed three goals on just six shots on target in the season-opener.
SDSU in the Mountain West with 7.5 shots on target per game, and leads the conference with 21 total shots per game.
The Spartans do have senior defensive player Karlee Pottorff who played a total of 53 games played throughout her years at SJSU. An experienced player like her will be crucial for the team to take down the Aztecs.
SJSU should look out for SDSU senior midfielder Chloe Frisch who has a total of 59 games played with 52 shots on goal.
Both teams have their own experienced senior players that could rival each other for tomorrow’s game.
The Spartans will have their hands full on Friday since they’re coming off of a rusty game against Aztecs, and will be dealing with the Aztecs who are looking to extend their two game win streak.
