San Jose State women’s volleyball (2-5, 2-5 MW) will play the second game of a two-game series against the University of Nevada (3-6, 3-6 MW) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
SJSU will go into the game with two wins in six games this season.
Junior middle blocker Haylee Nelson leads the team in both offensive and defensive categories. She has 81 kills and 87 digs in 25 sets played and looks to continue her dominating performances.
Redshirt senior outside hitter Latahevai Lousi is second on the team with 77 kills this season and third on the team in digs with 47.
Junior libero Sarah Smevog has been the backstop for the Spartans. She is leading the team with 91 digs in 25 sets.
Freshman setter Mia Schafer has also been a key contributor with 56 digs.
The Wolf Pack last lost to SJSU by a score of 3-1 on Friday, March 5.
Freshman outside hitter Reka Monteleone leads Nevada offensively with 89 kills and senior middle blocker Brianna Souza is second with 75.
Sophomore setter Andrea Alcaraz has amassed 280 assists which leads the Wolf Pack.
Junior defensive specialist Kaila Spevak leads the team defensively with 100 digs. Freshman outside hitter Alyssa Zuro and Monteleone are both tied for second at 51 digs.
The Spartans are ranked ninth in the Mountain West in hitting at 16.4% and fifth in digs at averaging 14.36 a set.
The Wolf Pack is ranked sixth in the Mountain West in hitting at 20.4% and 11th for digs at 11.53 per set.
The game will be played Saturday, March 6 at 1 p.m at the Yoshihiro Uchida Hall/Spartan Gym.
