The San Jose State gymnastics team kept it competitive against Air Force on Friday night keeping high scores all around but it wasn’t enough to beat the high flying Falcons.

The Spartans final score was 193.100 to the Falcons 193.350.

SJSU had a rocky start on the bars while Air Force started on vault. SJSU stuck their landings to lead the scoreboard with 48.725.

Junior Tia Gin and freshman Lauren Macpherson won the all around scores with Gin being the top scorer by acquiring 38.900. Macpherson wasn’t too far behind with 38.325.

Gin danced her best routine on the floor totaling 9.800 while Macpherson stuck her best with 9.850 at the uneven bars.

SJSU will be back in action at the Event Center when they host Stanford on Wednesday, March 10 at 3 p.m.
