San Jose State men’s basketball player Seneca Knight is entering the transfer portal, the junior announced Friday.
“I am grateful for the last two and a half years at San Jose State. They provided me with the opportunity to grow as a person and a player,” Knight said in his announcement.
“With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal and start the next chapter of my life.”
A third-team all-Mountain West selection last season, Knight led the team in scoring (17.1 per game) and rebounding (5.7 per game) in 2019-20.
The guard was third in Mountain West play with 20.1 points a game in 2019-2020. In February he scored 37 points against Colorado State, the second-highest single game total in the Mountain West last season.
Knight is the fourth scoring leader to transfer out of SJSU in the last five seasons, following former Spartans Brandon Clarke, Ryan Welage and Michael Steadman.
