San Jose State women’s basketball (2-21, 1-11 MW) looks to capitalize against a struggling Colorado State team in the first meeting between these two programs this season.
SJSU travels to Fort Collins to take on the Rams (8-15, 2-10 MW) in an effort to snap another losing streak.
Both teams are almost identical in their styles of play.
Averaging very similar stats as a team, the Spartans will look to minimize their mistakes in the passing lanes and try to capitalize on the Rams poor defense.
Colorado State is giving up 58.7 points per game with its opponents shooting 35.4 percent.
SJSU will have to look out for sophomore and junior guards Lore Devos and Mollie Mouncey. Both of these players are averaging double-digit scoring and have started in every game played.
Devos is shooting 42.6 percent from the field and will be aggressive on defense and offense when driving to the basket. She is averaging a team high 5.5 rebounds per game.
The Spartans are hopeful that sophomore forward Cyndi Lewis to continue to be more confident from outside the arc. She is shooting 38.6 percent from the 3-point line and has been attempting more shots from deep as of lately.
Tip off at Moby Arena is at 6 p.m.
