San Jose State (2-17, 1-7 MWC) heads south on Saturday to face San Diego State (6-12, 1-6 MWC) in search of its second Mountain West conference win of the 2019 season.
Off the back of a 68-59 win against a strong Utah State (10-9, 5-3 MWC) lineup on Wednesday night, the Spartans will look to improve their record once again.
The Aztecs are on a current four-game losing streak with their most recent loss coming at the hands of Air Force (4-5, 8-12 MWC) in a 75-66 contest.
Sophomore point guard Danae Marquez will look to roll the momentum into Saturday’s match-up after scoring a career-high 21 points on Wednesday. Her contributions will be vital in securing a second-consecutive win for the Spartans.
SJSU will have to put a stop to the scoring of 5-foot-9 freshman guard Sophia Ramos if it wants to have a chance at staying in the contest. Ramos is averaging 14.4 points per game and will lead the Aztecs on the court.
The Spartans struggle on the road with an 0-10 away record this season. In addition, the Aztecs lead the all-time series 22-8.
Tip off is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. from Viejas Arena in San Diego.
