San Jose State’s (1-13, 0-3 MW) losing streak reaches 10 games as it falls to Boise State (12-2, 3-0 MW) 99-68 on Saturday at Taco Bell Arena.

The Broncos went off for 58 percent shooting with 10 made 3’s. They held the Spartans to 4-of-18 3-point shooting and 44 percent overall.

It was a 5-5 game early in the first quarter with a 3-pointer from junior guard Fieme’a Hafoka and a layup from sophomore forward Mikaylah Wilson.

That would be the second and last tie of the game as the Broncos started their push. BSU went on a 10-0 run and eventually had a 14-point lead at the end of the first.

It was the same momentum all throughout the second quarter and SJSU saw itself down by 21 after 20 minutes of play. The Spartans shot 34 percent, while the Broncos shot 54.

San Jose State put on a much better performance in the second half that included scoring 25 points in the third and shooting 51 percent.

However, the energy never left Boise State as it continued its hot shooting. It shot 61 percent in the final 20 minutes and came away with the 31-point victory.

The Broncos had four players reach double digits in scoring. Freshman forward Rachel Bowers led the way with 14, followed by senior guard Marta Hermida with 13.

Freshman guard Raziya Potter topped the Spartans with 14 points with Hafoka behind at 11.

SJSU will conclude its two-game road trip against Utah State on Wednesday.
