Former San Jose State wide receiver Nick Nash saw his NFL journey take a turn on the final roster cuts. Nash went undrafted in April before landing with the Atlanta Falcons, where he was waived during the preseason but signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.

Nash made his mark in limited preseason action as he caught 12 passes for 136 yards, averaging 11.3 yards per reception. While he didn’t record a touchdown, Nash ranked fourth in total receptions and ninth in total yards across the league, showing his production.

With the Spartans, Nash finished his college career with 163 receptions for 2,212 yards and 25 touchdowns.

His 2024 season was one of the best in program history, as he hauled in 104 receptions, 1,382 yards and 16 touchdowns, dominating defenses and earning him Unanimous All-American honors. He was also named the triple crown winner for leading the nation in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.

While he didn’t make the initial 53-man roster, Nash gets a chance to continue to develop within the organization. For the former Spartan, the practice squad represents both a challenge and an opportunity to hear his name called up during the regular season.
