San Jose’s Baseball team secured a massive win away from home this past Sunday, beating San Diego State 10-2.

The Spartans improve to 11-8 for this season.

The team put on a clinic by securing 10 runs, 12 hits, and 8 total RBIs overall.

The top of the seventh inning in particular saw the Spartans score four times thanks to runs by redshirt senior Jeriah Lewis, junior Drew Giannini, redshirt sophomore Neil Jansen, and senior Alex Fernandes.

At the bottom of the fourth, San Diego State earned two runs in what would be the only point in the game where they were able to score against San Jose State.

Strong pitching has been a recurring theme for the Spartan’s baseball team this season.

Senior Win Scott drew eight strikeouts against SDSU and earned the winning decision by pitching six innings.

Sophomore Tyler Albanese played three innings and drew six strikeouts to see the game out.

Next, SJSU looks to face the University of Portland at 6:05 p.m. this Wednesday at Excite Ballpark.
