Boise State announced today that it will not be playing its conference-scheduled match against San Jose State, making it the second team to cancel this season.

“Boise State volleyball will not play its scheduled match at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 28. Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Boise State,” Boise State athletics announced on its athletics page

The first team to cancel a match against SJSU was Southern Utah. The two were scheduled to play on Sept. 14, in a tournament hosted by Santa Clara University.

After Southern Utah played two matches in the tournament, the team announced it would not be playing against San Jose State.

Both Boise State and Southern Utah did not state the reasons behind the cancellations.

SJSU is now one of the few teams to remain undefeated in the NCAA alongside South Dakota State, Syracuse, UCONN, Pittsburgh and Washington.

The next scheduled matchup for San Jose State is at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Colorado State in the Moby Arena.
