San Jose State tennis (13-7, 4-5 MW) lost its final regular season match to Fresno State (10-12, 4-4 MW) 4-3.

The Spartans held a 2-0 lead after winning the doubles point and getting their first singles point from senior Rozalina Youseva.

We came up a little bit short,” SJSU head coach Chad Skorupka said in a video posted to SJSU Athletics.

Youseva also contributed to the Spartans’ doubles point winning alongside her freshman partner Duru Durgun.

The second doubles win came from senior duo Carolina Millan and Jovana Babic.

The Bulldogs won their last two tiebreaker sets clinching their victory.

They have senior Misaki Kobayashi to thank for clinching the very last set against SJSU senior Irena Muradyan.

The Spartans finished eighth in the conference sitting right behind the Bulldogs with this loss.

While the regular season may be over, there is still more tennis to come.

The Spartans are scheduled to compete in the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. which is set to start on April 24.
