SJSU Women’s Swimming and Diving Finish The Bruin Invitational

SJSU Women’s Diving competed in the Bruin Invitation in Los Angeles California from January 12-14.

Sophomore Jenna Jagielski finished eleventh in the finals of the platform dive with a score of 212.10, the highest finish of any of the Spartan divers during the three-day invitational. Jagielski finished tenth in the prelims on the third day in order to advance to the finals.

SJSU’s other top performers on the day included junior Emily San Jose who scored a 179.15 on the platform dive and sophomore Makenna Sharpe who received a score of 153.35 on the platform dive.

On day two, San Jose scored 232.15 points on the three-meter dive to placing 17 in the overall competition. San Jose was the Spartan with the highest placement on Saturday.

Sharpe finished with a score of 153.53 on the platform dive and Jagielski received a 196.75 on the event.

On day one of the invitational, Jagielski was the highest scoring Spartan with a score of 230.20 in the 1-meter dive finishing in the top. San Jose reached the top 20 with a score of 175.85 and Sharpe scored 167.60.

San Jose State will return to competition on Feb. 3 at home against Fresno State.
