SJSU women’s volleyball will take on Utah State tomorrow Oct. 14.
The Spartans (11-8, 2-3 MW) are determined to recover from their recent losses.
Recently, the Aggies (13-5, 6-1 MW) have been on a strong run with their three-game winning streak. With the Aggies’ latest win, they are ready to take on the Spartans.
SJSU’s roster has exceptional athletes who have proven to be key to the team’s performance this season. Junior Letizia Cammillucci leads with 16 kills in the Mountain West game against Boise State. Junior Brooke Bryant secured nine kills and three blocks and Senior Jiana Lawson contributed five kills and two blocks.
With last year’s 3-1 victory over Fresno State, SJSU enters its next match with winning history in its favor.
In its last match, SJSU fell to Boise State 0-3. However, the Spartans have demonstrated their ability to come back stronger. They lost against San Diego State 1-3 but came back with wins against Nevada 3-1 and Fresno State 3-1.
On the other hand, Utah State has come up with wins against Utah University 3-0, Weber State 3-1, and LMU 3-2. The Aggies aim to build on their three-game win streak and maintain their momentum throughout the season.
