SJSU women’s volleyball will take on Fresno State tomorrow.
The Spartans (10-6, 1-2 MW) are determined to bounce back from recent setbacks.
The Fresno State Bulldogs (8-6, 2-1 MW) currently have a two-game winning streak. With the Bulldogs’ recent losses, they will be aiming to recover from the recent challenges they have faced. SJSU’s roster boasts standout players who have been crucial to the team’s performance this season.
Junior Brooke Bryant leads the team with an impressive 16 kills while senior Jiana Lawson has contributed significantly with 82 total blocks. Junior Alessia Buffagni has demonstrated her prowess with 219 digs, providing crucial support for the Spartans.
SJSU has a history of success against Fresno State. Last year, it was highlighted by the Spartans’ (3-2) victory in their last meeting. This could give the Spartans an edge in their upcoming match.
In its last match, SJSU won against the University of Nevada 3-1, showing its perseverance and ability to come back stronger after losing 1-3 against San Diego State. The team is looking to continue to bounce back against Fresno State.
On the other hand, Fresno State has come up with wins against Kent State (3-1) and CSUN (3-2). The Bulldogs are aiming to build on their recent successes and maintain their momentum.
