The San Jose State women’s basketball season (4-24, 1-16 MW) has reached its end. The Spartans will be playing Boise State Broncos (8-19, 4-12 MW) in Boise, Monday.

SJSU just played the University of New Mexico Lobos in an unfortunate loss, 80-58. Although it was a devastating loss, the game wasn’t all frowns as SJSU honored its seniors during senior night.

Spartans’ star senior forward Cyndi Lewis dominated the night with 23 points and eight rebounds. This was Lewis’ 123rd game played at SJSU, marking this a new program record.

SJSU will be traveling to play the Boise State Broncos during its final MW season game.

The Broncos just missed the mark by one point against the University of Nevada Wolf pack last Thursday, 76-75.

Sophomore forward Elodie Lalotte led Boise State with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Senior forward Rachel Bowers trailed behind with 15 points, clutching a season high for herself. Senior guard Dominique Leonidas had 13 points and three rebounds. Sophomore forward Abby Muse ended the night with 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Spartans may just have a chance to secure a final win against the Broncos. Their challenge will be to not let the height of the Boise State players get in the way of how they play as a team.

Watch SJSU go head-to-head against Boise State during its final season game Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. on the MW Network.
