San Jose State women’s basketball (3-13, 0-5 MW) is once again traveling this season trying to catch a winter break against the Air Force Falcons (9-8, 3-3 MW) this Saturday in Colorado.

The Spartans are coming off playing the UNLV Lady Rebels, which ended 74-54 unfortunately adding another tally to their now 10-game losing streak.

Senior forward Meghan Oberg and junior guard Ella Ogier were the only two players who managed double figures scoring this game.

Oberg came out on top once again making this her second consecutive game leading the Spartans in the scorer’s column. Oberg scored 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Ogier managed to score 12 points, grab two rebounds, and even managed two steals against the Lady Rebels.

Freshman forward Cyndi Lewis continues to struggle and only scored nine points but did have three steals and three rebounds.

SJSU will continue to try to push forward against the Air Force Falcons.

AF is coming off a nine point victory against the Fresno State Bulldogs, 66-57.

The Falcons did particularly well defending against the Bulldogs and were able to show how fierce their senior players were.

Senior forward Riley Snyder led her flock of teammates with a team-high 21 points. She had a career-best 11 of 12 free throws, a career-high six assists, and five rebounds. Snyder showed the Bulldogs who the leader of the pack truly was.

AF has consistently managed a back and forth between wins and loses since Dec. 18 and since its last game was victorious luck may be on the Spartans side with the Falcons fumbling and ultimately losing.

The game will be played at Air Force Saturday at 2 p.m.
