San Jose State men’s basketball (3-3) will play its first December game against North Dakota’s Fighting Hawks (3-5).

The Spartans’ last game was an intense 61-52  victory against the University of South Dakota. After winning back-to-back games, the Spartans hope to win another win against the Fighting Hawks.

Spartans’ sophomore guard Omari Moore led the team with the most points in the game with 18.

Additionally, freshman Tibet Görener helped the team with 14 points, matching a career-high. This is his first season with the Spartans having transferred from Arizona State University.

Another Spartans’ player who stood out was redshirt freshman Shon Robinson, who scored 10 points and set a new career-high of eight rebounds in the victory. This is Robinson’s first season playing with the Spartans since he transferred from Ole Miss.

With the win, it was the Spartans’ largest margin of victory this season.

The Fighting Hawks recently recorded a win against Presentation College, 72-55.

North Dakota’s guard Caleb Nero scored a team-high of 18 points and was assisted by freshman Paul Bruns.

Eyes will be on these two players who have shown competitive promise.

Be sure to catch the game this Friday, Dec. 3, at Provident Credit Union Event Center and the game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network at 7 p.m.
