San Jose State men’s water polo will end the Pacific Invitational at 1 p.m on Sunday against UC Berkeley.
After a busy weekend playing at the SRAC, the Spartans came out victorious winning two out of the three games on Saturday.
During Saturday’s final game San Jose State led the match with three-one goal leads in the first two quarters.
The Aggies managed to come back with a three-goal outburst ultimately taking over Spartan’s lead.
Sophomore Mark Kis managed to lead the players with three scores while finishing two power plays.
The Spartans came out victorious with a 15-7 victory over Cuesta College.
Their final match will be against No. 3 UC Berkeley who have been playing pretty consistently since last year after advancing to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship.
SJSU could stand a good chance playing UC Berkeley after bringing home more wins than loses at yesterday’s invitational.
We could expect to see a bit of nervousness from the Spartans to play No. 3 Bears but hopefully their momentum will carry through from Saturday’s winning games.
