San Jose State women’s tennis (5-0) will host the University of the Pacific (UOP) (2-4) on March 12.

The unbeaten Spartans are looking to register their sixth win against the Pacific Tigers.

UOP is doing well this season winning four of its six matches played and could pose a tough challenge for the undefeated Spartans.

SJSU will continue with its nine-member team consisting of three freshmen Jovana Babic, Irena Muradyan, Raquel Villan Pereira, sophomores Lara Marco Mas and Rozalina Youseva, junior Alba Pedrero Galindo, seniors Klara Milojkovic and Savannah Sendar including graduate student Tamara Culibrk.

Spartan freshmen are proving to be an asset to the team with their impressive play this season.

The 5-foot-4, Serbia native Babic is playing great tennis this season winning  all of her matches, four singles and one doubles.

Muradyan, the 5 feet, 6 inches tall Armenian native, has won all her singles encounters only losing a single doubles match against the University of San Francisco.

The 5-foot-5 Spaniard Pereira won two of her three matches, ending one unfinished.

The Tigers are playing 10 players Maile Brilhante, Zoe Eberle, Elise Frigout, Alexis Johnson, Hannah Ketcherside, Klara Kosan, Dohee Lee, Maya Lopez, Georgia Townsend and Danielle Zamora.

The visiting team is coming in fresh off  their victory against Sacramento State, 6-1 and looking to secure another win against the Spartans.

The match is scheduled to be played at noon, March 12 at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
