The San Jose State women’s tennis team will travel to Davis, Calif. to play the Aggies in a non-conference match Friday.

SJSU’s (4-0, 0-0 Mountain West) preseason matches allow players to practice on their agility, speed and strength.

The Spartans’ roster features three preseason undefeated singles players with sophomore Lara Marco Mas, plus first-years Jovana Babic and Irena Muradyan.

Banco aquired three wins in position No. 6 against UC Irvine, Sacramento State and Santa Clara University.

Marco Mas landed two victories in position No. 5 and No. 6 competing against the University of San Francisco and Santa Clara.

Muradyan triumphed in four wins at position No. 3 and No. 5 against Irvine, Sac State, Santa Clara and San Francisco.

For the first time this season, SJSU lost in the double matches, but still managed a victory against Santa Clara University (4-5, 0-1 West Coast) Feb 27.

UC Davis (2-3, 0-2 Big West) lost two of its conference matches this season to University of Santa Barbara 2-4 and University of California, Polytechnic Pomona 2-5.

In their last nonconference match against Stanford, the Aggies lost 0-7 in both singles play and double matches.
