San Jose State men’s water polo (8-19, 1-4 GCC) will make a splash at Loyola Marymount University (3-4, 1-1 WWPA)  at the Burns Aquatic Center in Los Angeles.

This will be the Spartans’ second matchup of the season, following their first game against Pepperdine University earlier the same day at 10:30 a.m.

Senior center Finn Pardon and two-meter defender senior Niels Hofmeijer are SJSU’s highest-scoring returners from last season.

Pardon cashed in 51 goals and five assists for 56 points, and Hofmeijer scored 31 goals and five assists for 36 points.

As for LMU, it is an entirely different story as this will be its final home game of the season.

Their most recent game was Saturday at Pepperdine University where they fell 14-11 against the Waves.

Senior utility man Joseph Shaw led the Lions with four goals followed by sophomore utility Joseph Cavazos with three scores. Attacker Daniel Roth also obtained himself a pair of goals for the game.

Redshirt senior goalie Robert Halligan was able to make 12 saves on 26 shots.

The Spartans will be granted a tough task against an LMU Lions team looking to be victorious in their final home game of the season.

The matchup will take place Friday at 3:30 p.m.
