San Jose State wide receiver Tre Walker is entering the 2021 NFL Draft, he announced today.
Walker is third in SJSU history with in receptions and receiving yards, with 189 and 2790 respectively.
The senior from Inglewood, Calif. originally announced he’d enter the transfer portal but decided to forgo his final year for the draft after a transfer to Mississippi State fell through.
According to SEC rules players can only transfer to schools in the conference if they have more than two years of eligibility remaining, or if they’re a graduate transfer.
Walker looks to be the first Spartan drafted to the NFL since tight end Josh Oliver, who was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2019 Draft.
