San Jose State football is just outside the AP Top 25 in this week’s rankings.
The Spartans received 66 votes in the poll, tied with Marshall for second in line outside the numbered ranks.
They also received 68 votes in the AP Coaches’ Poll, fourth in line outside the Top 25 behind Oklahoma State, Missouri and Marshall.
SJSU haven’t been ranked in either poll since the end of the 2012 season, when it finished 11-2 with a Military Bowl victory.
The Spartans will spend the week in Las Vegas preparing for the season finale against Nevada, the location of which still isn’t determined due to a contact sports restriction in Santa Clara County.
