San Jose State’s men’s basketball game at the University of Pacific has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Tigers organization.
The positive test also resulted in a suspension of all team activities at Pacific.
“Team activities will remain on hold for at least 14 days and will resume when it is deemed safe by appropriate medical professionals,” the Tigers said in their announcement.
After Santa Clara County released the decision to put a pause on all contact sports this season until Dec. 21 this would have been their first game this season.
The Spartans were expected to travel to Pacific on Sunday but now have to wait longer to begin their season. Their next scheduled game is on Dec. 9 against the University of St. Katherine.
