San Jose State women’s basketball (1-3) is scheduled to take on University of the Pacific (3-1) this Thursday at the Event Center.

This will be the second out of three consecutive home games for SJSU.

The Pacific Tigers have propelled their season off to a great start, and they will be rolling into San Jose on a two-game winning streak.

So far this season, Pacific has been averaging 74.3 points per game while allowing its opponents to 73.3.

The Tigers have been shooting the ball at 40 percent from the field, and 30 percent from beyond the three point line.

On the other side of the ball will be the Spartans, who have averaged only 65.5 points per game. So far this season as a team, they are averaging 34 percent on field goals and about 32 percent on three-point shooting.

SJSU is coming off quite a remarkable game, which featured numerous amazing performances by Spartan players.

Perhaps the most notable of these was from SJSU sophomore point guard Danae Marquez, who had 11 points, 8 assists and rebounds.

What was most impressive was the way Marquez dominated the floor at point guard with her uncanny ball-handling ability.

Another one of the many notable players to keep an eye on is Spartan sophomore forward Cydni Lewis, who is already averaging 10 points per game over the first four games.

The game starts at 7 p.m.
