San Jose State (7-9-2) men’s soccer will once again matchup with Seattle University (12-6-0) this Wednesday. This time is poised to be much more intense as the teams will be competing in the Western Athletic Conference tournament.

The last time the Spartans and the Redhawks met was only last Friday in a match that ended as a 2-1 senior night loss for SJSU.

While the recent loss for the Spartans was close in the final outcome, it was also a home game which inevitably gave them some advantages the will not have this time around.

This next match for the SJSU men will be on the road all the way up in Seattle, Washington to SU’s own Championship Field.

This may contribute to any number of negative factors such as fatigue from travel or the overall nerves the players will surely be experiencing.

SJSU had a good season within its conference this year with a final record of 5-5-1. Seattle University finished its season with a conference record of 6-4-0.

One of the many notable players to keep an eye on is going to be SJSU sophomore defender Omar Lemus.

He had a brilliant season this year and leads the team in numerous categories including goals, with five netted, four assists, and most impressively, three game-winning goals.

The game starts at 7 p.m.
