The San Jose Sharks tied the seven-game series on home ice as they shutout the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of Round 2 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Despite both teams with 34 shots on goal, San Jose goaltender Martin Jones made all 34 saves to earn his sixth shutout of his postseason career.

Vegas net-protector Marc-Andre Fleury made 30 saves but let four goals through, which resulted in a 4-0 Sharks victory.

Left-winger Marcus Sorensen put San Jose on the board after 15 minutes of scoreless play in the first period.

Fellow left-wing forward Joonas Donskoi followed Sorensen’s goal and gave San Jose a comfortable two-goal lead at the end of the first.

Donskoi missed Game 3 because of an upper-body injury, but returned to the top-line Wednesday night.

Defenseman Brenden Dillon assisted on both Sorensen’s and Donskoi’s goals, and later took a 10-minute penalty for misconduct with two minutes remaining.

Center Tomas Hertl put San Jose up 3-0 on a rebound 5:35 into the second with the only goal seen in the period. Left-wingers Mikkel Boedker and Logan Couture assisted on Hertl’s fifth goal of the postseason.

Captain Joe Pavelski sealed it at The Tank with the game-winning, power-play goal at the  11:43 mark of the third period.

San Jose now has their first opportunity to take their first lead of the series as it heads back to Las Vegas for Game 5 Friday at 7 p.m.
