Sharks get Kane back at home for crucial Game 3 vs Knights

The San Jose Sharks head home to take on the Pacific Division Champions, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, at the SAP Center tonight.

After being shut out 7-0 in Game 1, the Sharks fought back to beat the Knights in double overtime Saturday night 4-3.

Left wing Evander Kane will return to the line up after missing Game 2 because of a suspension for cross checking Vegas forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.

The Knights suffered their first franchise playoff loss on Saturday against the Sharks. They had swept the Los Angeles Kings in Round 1.

Center Joe Thorton, who has been out since Jan. 25 with an MCL injury has been questionable for the past few games. He is looking to return to the lineup soon.

Kane told the Mercury News about his experience sitting up in the press box for Game 2.

“Every shot looks like it’s going to go in from all the way up there,” Kane said. “It’s a different look. I won’t be doing that again.”

Vegas head coach Gerard Gallent hinted to the team’s media reps that there will be lineup changes for tonight’s game.

Forwards Tomas Tatar, Ryan Reaves and Oscar Lindberg, defenseman Luca Spisa and Brad Hunt will be playing in tonight’s game for the Knights. They did not play in the last game.

Tonight’s puck drop will be at 7 p.m. inside the SAP Center.
