San Jose State (0-8-3, 0-2-1 MW) lost its road conference matchup in a 2-0 loss to Colorado State (7-3-1, 3-0-0 MW).

The Spartans started the game fast with an attack-heavy offense for the first 20 minutes of the match, but would slow down and fall back on defense for a majority of the match.

San Jose was out shot in this contest 26 to 11, while creating three corner kicks throughout the game.

After a scoreless first half, senior Liv Stutzman wound up scoring the game’s first goal in the 62nd minute.

The Rams put the nail in the coffin in the 83rd minute after a goal from senior Maggie Altman.

San Jose State shot the ball four times in the second half and a lack of offensive pressure forced the Spartans to play catch up in the second half.

Senior forward Bella Flocchini continues to be a bright spot on this Spartan team recording four shots with three being on goal, after a goal in her previous match against Boise State.

As a team San Jose has scored a total of five goals in 11 games and will need to find a way to produce more offense if they want to pick up a win this season.

The Spartans will look to avoid another losing streak as the team will remain on the road to face the Wyoming Cowgirls (3-4-4, 1-1-1 MW) at noon on Sunday at Madrid Sports Complex.
