SJSU volleyball (11-7, MW 2-3) played its third conference away match against Wyoming (13-4, MW 2-4) and continued to struggle to get a win on the road.

The Spartans were swept 3-0 by the Cowgirls on Thursday night.

SJSU finished its first two sets with the same score of 25-18.

In the second set, fifth-year Yazmin Pitpit made her second appearance this season following her ankle injury and contributed one kill for the Spartans.

Dropping 22 kills on the Cowgirls was still not enough to shake them up. The Spartans still lost 25-22 in its third and final set.

On the offensive side of the ball, SJSU had two players lead the way, with senior Letizia Cammillucci and freshman Nayeli Ti’a. Both collected 11 kills and had a combined 12 digs.

Senior Jiana Lawson, who is currently number two in the nation in blocks, added two more to her campaign and had a total of three kills on the day.

SJSU volleyball will continue on the road and travel to Colorado State for its next match on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the Moby Arena.
