San Jose State women’s basketball (3-14, 0-6 MW) will be ending its road trip on Monday in Albuquerque, N.M. against the University of Mexico Lobos (16-4, 7-0 MW).

The Spartans are continuing on the road after a relatively close loss against Air Force 58-46.

Once again junior guard Ella Ogier dominated against AF. Ogier was the only Spartan to score double digits and was the team’s leading scorer.

Ogier led with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists, and even two steals. This is also Ogier’s fourth consecutive game recording double figures.

Senior forward Cyndi Lewis scored six points and had a team high eight rebounds. Lewis continues to struggle this season as this was her fourth straight game ending in single digits but remains a star when it comes to defensive play on the court and through her ability to crash the boards.

SJSU will be hoping snap its 11-game losing streak against the UNM Lobos after this game was scheduled originally at the end of December.

The Lobos just won their eighth straight game, a victory on Saturday against the Fresno State Bulldogs with a final score of 80-74.

UNM’s senior guard Antonia Anderson proved herself to be a star with a game-high of 22 points, a team-high of 11 rebounds, five assists, and a game-high of three steals and two blocks. This was Anderson’s second straight 20 point plus game and her third double-double of the season.

Freshman forward Paula Reus trailed behind Anderson with 19 points and eight rebounds. This was a season high for the first-year freshman and added on to her streak of double-figures in the last three games.

The Lobos are a force to be reckon with and will definitely not be an easy team for the Spartans to defeat.

Watch SJSU take on UNM Monday at 5:30 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.
